Safaricom M-Pesa charges Increases as Call and SMS Rates drop – 2023

Safaricom has announced new changes where MPESA charges have been increased while Call and SMS rates drop.

The M-Pesa new Tariff will be effective starting 29th July 2023.

Apart from the change in the charges and rates, Safaricom has also issued 5 points to notify subscribers:

1. Maximum account balance is Kshs. 300,000.
2. Maximum transaction value at Kshs. 300,000, where maximum per transaction is Ksh. 150,000.
3. You cannot withdraw less than Kshs. 50 at the M-pesa agent outlet.
4. To initiate M-Pesa Self Reversal, Send the transaction confirmation to 456.
5. You cannot deposit money directly into another M-PESA customer’s account at an agent outlet.
