He will today enjoy his freedom out of custody with his family after former Nairobi Governor Mike Mbuvi Sonko came to his rescue.

Brian Mwenda Njagi’s cash bail of Ksh200k was paid by Mike Sonko, who went ahead and shared the confirmation message with his social media followers on X (Formally Twitter).
Lawyer Brian Mwenda has just been granted a cash bail of 200k by the court. As promised earlier, I have already made the payment to the judiciary’s account at KCB bank via mpesa to ensure he doesn’t spend another night in prison. Mungu ni mwema.
