Court orders eviction of Settlers on Kirima’s Land – Njiru

Court in Kenya orders eviction of settlers on Kirima's 1000 acre Njiru land in 70 days.

Teresia Wairimu and Anne Kirima widows to the late billinaire Gerishon Kirima are now smiling after the court made a ruling over the ownership of a 1000 acre land in Njiru.

From the ruling that was made one Monday, Judge Samson Odhiambo Okong’o ordered for the vacation of the property by 31st December 2023.

The vacation order came after the 300 complainants failed to show proof of ownership of the land.

The plaintiffs in this suit have no valid claim over L.R No. 6825/2 (the Njiru area land).

“To save them from forceful eviction from the property, I hereby give those of them who are in actual occupation of L.R No. 6825/2 up to and including 31st December 2023 to vacate and hand over possession of the property to the estate of G.K.Kirima in default, of which the estate shall be at liberty to evict them from the property.”

Who is Gerishon Kirima?

The late Gerishon Kamau Kirima was a billionaire, a real estate investor and a former member of parliament.

Kirima was born in Kiruri village which is a well known tea growing area in Murang’a County. It is on the slopes of Aberdares. Gerishon Kirima despite being a rich man was a shool dropout who stopped schooling a a very early age.

Who owns Kirima Land in Njiru? Kirima Land in Njiru is rightfully owned by Teresia Wairimu and Anne Kirima who are widows to the late billionaire Gerishon Kamau Kirima. He died on 28th December 2010.
