Musalia and Wetangula ordered “fold parties and join UDA,” Cleophas Malalah
In a recent turn of events, Cleophas Malalah, the Secretary General of the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) Party, has reignited the call for the dissolution of the Amani National Congress (ANC) and FORD Kenya parties.
Malalah firmly believes that the union of these political parties would greatly strengthen UDA’s position as a formidable contender in the upcoming 2027 elections.
During a gathering in Kakamega, Malalah expressed his support for former Bungoma Governor Wycliffe Wangamati, who had recently joined UDA after leaving DAP-Kenya.
As he addressed the audience, Malalah emphasized the importance of strategic thinking and the need for the Luhya community to align themselves with a national party, namely UDA, for a greater chance of success.
However, it should be noted that ANC has openly declared its decision to remain an independent party and has no intentions of merging with UDA.
This differing perspective among political leaders highlights the ongoing debates and discussions surrounding potential alliances and party affiliations within Kenya’s political landscape.
Notably, Malalah’s previous statement characterizing ANC as a “village party” incapable of producing a presidential candidate adds further complexity to the already dynamic political discourse.
