Muthoni wa Kirima, Field Marshall and Mau Mau Fighter is dead
Field Marshall and celebrated Mau Mau veteran Muthoni wa Kirima is dead.
Muthoni wa Kirima is a retired top-ranking female fighter in the Kenyan land. She was also a freedom army of the Mau Mau uprising in the 1950s.
Muthoni was born in the year 1931, and she passed while 91 years old.
Her death was made public by Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua who made an announcement on Tuesday morning.
“We recall with pride and sheer admiration, her exploits in leading the land and freedom army after the capture of freedom hero Dedan Kimathi whom she served as his personal assistant, after he was betrayed by Collaborators. We remain indebted to these great heroes and heroines for the sacrifice to liberate our land,” Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua posted.
Muthoni wa Kirima Cause of Death
Muthoni wa Kirima died after developing health complications. She passed while being rushed to a hospital in pangani where she was pronounced dead.
This is according to the statement shared by Nyeri Governor Mutahi Kahiga.
