Kenya: Schools Close for 2 weeks Midterm to pave way for August 9th Polls

The government has ordered all schools to be closed latest Tuesday 2nd August 2022. Through a statement shared by the Cabinet Secretary on Sunday, Magoha had shown clear indications of a surprise announcement.

On Monday afternoon, Magoha shared a statement with the media saying they had arrived at a conclusion to shut all schools ahead of the August General Elections.

Learners are set to resume learning one days after elections which will be on 11th August 2022. By this date the president may or might not have been announced since 15th is the last day announcing the presidential winner as per the Kenyan Constitution.

School have been only 3 weeks on after the first term break.
