Kenya power and lighting company has continued making necessary maintenance and extensions to its power lines.
As a result the Electricity Company has announced that in the event of scheduled maintenance, some parts of the country will be affected.
“Good Evening, the following areas are on scheduled maintenance tomorrow, Monday 01.08.2022.”
Major parts of Uasin Gishu county that will experience the shutdown include Annex and Choma Zone.
Embu county, West porkot, Nandi county, and Makueni County are some of the counties that will face the shutdown.
Nairobi will be hit most where South C shopping centre will will be shut at 9 AM to 5 PM. Areas like Kongoni Pri Sch, Bandari East, Muhoho Ave, MOW, CID Training College, Mtihani centre, Red Cross, KEBS, Dafam, College of Insurance, Nextgen Mall, The Curve, KWS, Belleview and adjacent customers will also be shut down by KPLC.
On the other side Mombasa county will also experience some KPLC maintenance effect. Areas scheduled for the shutdown in Mombasa include Shanzu,parts of Mkoroshoni, Jolaurabi, Scchool, Braeburn school, JCC, Bamburi Staff Quarters, Enduro, Pollmans Tours, Milele Beach, Parts of Naivas Nyali, KRA, NITA, Bohora Flats, Bombolulu Est, Sheikh Khalifa, Bella Plaza and adjacent customers.
