Eregi High School closed following the outbreak of strange illness

St. Theresa’s Eregi Girls High School in Ikolomani Kakamega has closed business after the outbreak of a strange disease that has so far affected 95 students.

Before the closure of the school, health and education officials from the region had dismissed the idea to shut the school. This followed as they cited to have put measures to avert the spread.

Today, mayhem has been witnessed after impatient students went on rampage in the act government vehicles being vandalised.

The students gained courage to be rowdy and hence started throwing stones at government officials and vehicles that were in the school after parents insisted to be allowed to take their daughters home. This information was shared by the western region Director of Education.
