Fuliza and KCB M-Pesa lower interest after Presidential intervention

Safaricom in conjunction with M-pesa services have today lowered loan interest rates. According to President William Ruto, Kenyan ordinary citizens are charged high rates on Fuliza and K.C.B M-Pesa.

President Ruto also urged the Kenya C.R.B to review and whitelist all 4 Million citizens on C.R.B. H.E Ruto said CRB has placed Kenyans at the mercy of shy-locks who manipulate their pockets.

Speking on the issue of mama mboga, Mr Ruto has promised Kenyans that his Manifeto will be 100% accomplished without any doubt.

“We will work with lenders to develop a financial product that will allow Mama Mboga to access credit at a single-digit interest rate the same way big firms do. 9

The Government commits to underwrite the risks that will come with it so that small enterprises can flourish and drive our growth.

At Norfolk Hotel in Nairobi County during a briefing by Safaricom, NCBA Bank and Kenya Commercial Bank; challenged them to think beyond financial inclusion to a more accessible and affordable credit model.” President William Ruto says.
