Michael Warutere of Riara Schools is the top candidate in KCPE 2023 with 428 out of 500 marks.
Michael Warutere a learner from Riara Schools is the top candidate in the recently announced 2023 KCPE results. He emerged the top candidate after scoring 428 marks in total.
Michael Warutere was among the 1.4 Million candidates who sat for the national examination that was done late October and early November marking the end of the 8.4.4 curriculum which has been in existence for up to 38 years.
The end of 8.4.4 is now aimed to pave way for the new 2.6.6.3 C.B.C curriculum. The new curriculum has seen two cohorts sit for a national assessment popular KPSEA which marks a transition from primary to senior school.
According to the interview with media after being announced the top candidate, Michael Warutere of Riara Schools said his aim was to score good marks but he did not expect being announced as number one countrywide. It all come with proper time management and planing. He said in is up to a learner to package himself or herself properly not to over-study or over-play.
He thanks God for what He has done to his life.
The schools management headed by Mr Murithi who is the Headteacher Riara school congratulated the young boy for the good work and success. Mr. Murithi also pointed out that the school apart from producing top candidate, they have also quite a good number of candidate who scored 400 and above marks. This was the school aim to finish and seal the 8.4.4 curriculum with flying colours.
