Teachers Service Commission boss Nancy Macharia gets go ahead permission from president Uhuru Kenyatta. She had requested to start motivation for best performing teachers across the country.

She said this during the Official release of KCSE results at Mtihani House. On Kenyatta’s acceptance, this shows a clearer appreciation to the Teachers efforts.

The commission has however urged the teachers to tighten up their belts. This is after the introduction of 100 percent transition that will see over 1.2 M students join secondary school.

Nancy Macharia says it is everyone’s mandate to ensure 100% transition. She also added that every learner is entitled a right for basic education.

As the matter of transition is concerned, CBC candidates will be joining Junior Secondary. In preparation for that the commission will from April, 25th 2022 start CBC training for secondary school teachers. The employer targets to train 116,024 teachers ready to teach grade 7 learners.
