The KMTC KUCCPS placement has been declared null and void due to parliamentary intervention.
The recent decision by parliament to nullify the Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KCCPS) Placement has caused a storm of controversy, particularly in relation to the admission process for the Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC).
The nullification of the KCCPS Placement has raised concerns among aspiring medical students who were relying on the process to secure their admission into KMTC. The decision has left many confused and uncertain about the future of their medical careers.
On Thursday, Members of Parliament revoked the process claiming it went against the court order. The court order was issued in July where 2 students asked to bar KUCCPS from carrying out admission on behalf of the state corporation.
According to the KMTC Act, the College Academic Board is the only mandated to conduct selection of KMTC students for KMTC programmes.
Candidates have been requested to submit a fresh application. In concern of their application fee, they will not pay since the money submitted through KCCPS will still apply.
