Schools Closing Dates Announced Ahead of KPSEA, KCPE and KCSE Exams – 2023
Kenya’s Ministry of Education responsible for all learning activities has already dived into action publishing the third term academic calendar ahead of Kenya National Exams dubbed KPSEA for Grade 6, KCPE for class 7 and KCSE for form four learners 2023.
According to information published by the PS for basic education Dr. Belio Kipsang, the classes that began on 28th August will end on 27th October 2023.
Apart from sharing the term dates, Dr. Kipsang’ also spit fire to parents and teachers expelling all school activities involving parents and other stakeholders saying they are strictly prohibited. This is aimed to ensure enough time for learner preparation ahead of the fourth coming exams.
Furthermore, the government has also put some measures in place to avoid interruptions caused to learning activities. In addition, the government has released capitation funds to schools to ensure the calendar of events run smoothly.
Education Ministry has Ksh. 16.2 Billion in place from the National treasury. This money will be distributed to learners in all public Primary, Junior and secondary schools. This is set to ensure smooth functioning of all school activities.
