The Kenya Ministry of Education MoH has released the final Academic calendar for the years 2022 and 2023 with slight changes. This review is set to help normalise and set the Education system back to normal after being disrupted by Covid-19 World pandemic.

As the terms are squeezed together this year 2022 happens to be unique with a full package of National Examinations.

It is the year that learners will have to transform from one grade to another and one level to another. The transitioning will happen in the midst of the year. It should also be noted that this will be a special year since their will be two national Exams unlike before.

Speaking to a section of news writers, the minister has pointed out that the learners will only be subjected to a short Mid-Term not exceeding 3 days and closing for only one Week. But with few changes learners who are not partaking the national examinations will have to enjoy a 7 weeks uninterrupted break from school. This is scheduled as from 4th March to 25th April 2022.
