Grade 6 School Choices PDF, Selection Portal Link – Download

Grade six is the final class in primary according to the new curriculum. The new curriculum tagged CBC stands for Competency Based Curriculum. After 6 years the learner is subjected to a final assessment KPSEA – Kenya Primary School Education Assessment.

KPSEA is set to replace the 8-4-4 final examination popularly KCPE. After the grade 6 the candidates will be able to join Junior Secondary School – JSS. This will be done based on performance and Grad Six School Selection.

KNEC – guidelines on Grade 6 Junior Secondary School Selection 2022.

All the learners with the help of Headteachers are supposed to submit their preferred JSS schools. This is to be done on the CBA portal www.cba.knec.ac.ke.

From the recently released circular all Heads of primary schools are notified that the list of schools to host Junior Secondary School (JSS) learners has been uploaded onto the KNEC CBA portal.

How to Select Junior Secondary School – JSS

1. Log into the CBA portal

This is to be done by the school heads. Lag onto the CBA portal www.cba.knec.ac.ke and use the school credentials (Username and Password) in order to access the list of Schools.

These are:

1. National Schools – 2
2. Regional Schools – 2
3. County Schools – 2
4. Sub – County School – 4
5. private school – 2

2. Click on Grade 6 Icon

Once logged onto the CBA portal, scroll to the sides and select the Grade 6 icon. this is where all grade 6 successfully registered learners candidates are listed.

3. Select Register Learner

Scan through the menu and select the register learner link.

4. Click on Secondary School Choices

The link to select learners JSS is located at the end of each learners name. Click and choose schools accordingly the save and submit.
