Mathe wa Ngara real name Nancy Kigunzu now wants to know where her money is. Her 13.4M was seized by police.
Mathe wa Ngara is a businesswoman linked to drug trafficking in Nairobi. She was arrested, and today in court, drama was lit after questions emerged, wanting to know where the money recovered was taken to.
According to Mathe wa Ngara, through her lawyers Danstan Omari and Cliff Ombeta, money that was put to custody was supposed to be used as an exhibition and not to be seized by the state.
"The integrity of the proceedings in this matter are critical assets recovery, not a party to this case before you. Who has the custody of that exhibit?" the lawyers asked.
Previous on Friday last week, the court had ordered that the amount seized be deposited into the Assets and Recovery Agency’s (ARA) preservation account at the Kenya Commercial Bank (KCB).

The prosecution responded by saying: "We have documents to confirm the chain of custody which will be deposited in court in due course but not today,"
