Kenyans Rush to beat Sim Card Registration Deadline

Sim card registration deadline issued by the Communications Authority is 15th October 2022 – 11.59 pm. After the set date and time, unregistered sim cards shall be switched off.

Kenyans with the last minute behavior have been witnessed creating long cues as they find their way into the respective registration centres across the country.

This move by CS is to help the government step up the war against crime and improve on data accuracy.

In Nairobi Kenya, Long cues have been witnessed at different Tel-co agents as data cleanup process is yet to begin. It has however been set clearer by Kenya Communications Authority that no more time will be added. Kenyans have had approximately 4 Month to do the Sim Card registration and data update.
