Elizabeth Merab dies at 31 after battling with Sickle Cell Anaemia

Award winning health and science journalist at Nation Media succumbs to Sickle Cell Anaemia after a two decades battle.
Quick Biography
Elizabeth Merab is the first born in a family of five. She was a trained teacher at Kenyatta University specialising in English and literacy. She, however, joined Nation Media Group – NMG in the year 2016, where she established herself as a passionate journalist.
Health
Elizabeth Merab was first diagnosed with Sickle Cell Anaemia at the age of 10 years old. This condition saw her walk into hospitals at a very young age.
Sadly, she made a visit to Aga Khan’s hospital, which turned out to be her last visit to the hospital.
Death/age
On Saturday, 15th July 2023, Elizabeth Merab dropped her last breath at 31 years old.
