CBC: Grade 4 and 5 to Start KNEC Projects, Practicals on Monday
Competency Based curriculum (CBC) Learners in Grades 4 and 5 to start their Knec projects, practicals on Monday, 10th July 2023.
The subjects with project, practicals, and performance tasks will include agriculture, art and craft, music, science and technology, social studies, home science, and physical education.
The practicals for Grade 4 and 5 come a few weeks after Grade 3 and Grade 7 in JSS started their practicals.
According to the circular from Kenya National Examination Council, the teachers will supervise and aid learners where necessary, award scores and thereafter upload the scores to be Grades 3, 4, 5 and 7 Knec CBA Portal.
The Administration of Knec projects for Grades 4 and 5 is set to run from 10th July to 11th August 2023. Teachers are therefore urged to upload scores earlier and avoid the final minute rush.
After the practicals, grades 3, 4, and 5 will then do a written test. The tests will be uploaded on 2nd October 2023.
The tests will be administered, marked, and awarded scores by class teachers at the school level. The results will then be uploaded to the portal to the learners’ respectively.
To upload the results, teachers or school heads are expected to log in using the school credentials on the CBA PORTAL.
