Raila Odinga leads Azimio la Umoja campaigns in West Pokot – Ortum

Azimio La Umoja today toured West Pokot. Raila Odinga who is the ODM Party Leader and Azimio la Umoja presidential flag bearer lead the campaigns.

He was followed by his bid supporters. In Ortum citizens turned up in large numbers. Their main aim was to hear what Odinga had planned for the region incase he wins the 2022 general elections.

According to Raila Odinga, his first plan for the region is to ensure peace. He also promises the Ortum citizens to open the Cement factory soon. Hon Raila Odinga said he is going to talk to President Kenyatta to open the long awaited factory before he gets out of office. Hon Raila Odinga will accompan Kenyatta in person during the opening of the Ortum Cement project.

Raila Odinga also promises to widen the road through Ortum to Lodwar and Juba. This will ease transportation services in the region and improve the living standards of the residents.

Water issue was not left behind. He assured that waster will be available in plenty immediately he takes over the government. On the issue of Agriculture, Hon Raila Odinga will build a bigger onion preservation factory since the region is well known for that product.

He was also accompanied by the West Pokot County leaders. West Pokot as a county is lead by Professor Hon John Krop Lonyang’apuo.
