Police Suspend Maandamano on Wednesday 12th July 2023

Official of the Inspector General National Police Service has issued a press release In regard to the planned Maandamano Wednesday.

Maandamano Wednesday 12th July 2023 is a day set by the opposition party in Kenya. The demos are to push the government led by President William Ruto to consider reducing the burden of taxes placed on local Mwananchi.

According to the statement by the IG office, no demonstrations are to take place since no police office has been notified.

“In, this regard, no such demonstrations/gathering/protests will be allowed tomorrow since no such notification has been to any police station. All lawful means will be used to disperse such demonstrations.”
