Peter Kagwanja Joins DP for Murang’a Senatorial seat

The Kenya intellectual, policy advisor and strategist Hon Peter Kagwanja Joins Democratic Party (DP). Peter Kagwanja (born August 8, 1963 in Murang’a County, Central Kenya).

After being welcomed he was also accorded the blessing to vje for the senatorial seat. DP is a Kenyan party that was founded in 1991 by John Keen and Mwai Kibaki.

Accoeding to his official twitter post he says the people of Murang’a have suffered under poor leadership, and it wasn’t immediately established whether ‘poor leadership’ is Irungu Kangata’s new name.

“Today, I joined the senatorial race in Murang’a— a plunge from my intellectual perch into the mud of politics. But as Plato once said:“One of the penalties for refusing to participate in politics is that you end up being governed by your inferiors”. He posts.

He goes further to say…

“In a region where over 70% of sitting MPs, senators and Governors are voted out in any election, it is suicidal to either anchor campaigns on elected leaders or pack your party with this vulnerable category.”
