10 suspected gang members charged with engaging in organized crime in Nakuru
Suspected members of an outlawed group name ‘Confirm’ were on Tuesday arraigned in a Nakuru court for allegedly engaging in organized crime.
They were arrested on Monday over a number of incidents involving torching of houses at Flamingo Estate in Nakuru where one person succumbed to the burn injuries and where a minor aged 16 years was stabbed on June 19, 2020.
The group however denied the charges and were released on a Ksh.200,000 cash bail or bond of Ksh.300,000 with a surety of a similar amount.
The case will be mentioned on July 21, 2020.
Eleven other suspected members of the same group were arrested and charged on Monday with arson and engaging in an organized criminal activity.
