Robert Alai – Kileleshwa Ward Member of County Assembly on Londiani Accident

“We see people hawking in the middle of the road from Nairobi to AHERO, Mombasa to Malaba and Namanga to Mandera as normal.

We assume that each one of the drivers we have on the roads is perfectly normal everyday.

Weeks after Migori, we have Londiani and we see the risks in AHERO, Emali, Kitale etc and assume that everyone uses common sense.

When an accident like #Londiani happens, the shortcut is to build more bumps while police do nothing on the road but collect money from those who exceeded the imaginary limits by one or two marks.”

President William Ruto shares condolence after Londiani Tragedy

“The country mourns with the families who have lost loved ones in a horrific road accident in Londiani, Kericho County. It is distressing that some of the fatalities are young people with a promising future and business people who were on their daily chores.

We pray for the speedy recovery of all survivors; you are in our thoughts. We urge motorists to be extra cautious on roads, especially now when we are experiencing heavy rainfall.”
