5 Dangerous Thugs Arrested linked to Killings in Starehe
5 Thugs have been put behind bars following a successful Starehe based DCI hunt down.
The 5 dangerous and armed thugs have been arrested and with firearms recovered in an operation by the Starehe DCI.
The five are said to be responsible for the cold blood murder in the region. They are said to be involved in the murder of a 37 year old woman on June 26th.
They were rounded up on 6th July 2023 following the intelligence led operation that included a specialized team of detectives from the DCI Nairobi regional command.
The 37 years old woman Beatrice Okumu was killed just after she had closed her M-Pesa shop at around 10pm. In the event, she was ransacked her bag with money and other valuable items.
After taking her bag, the DCI has disclosed that she was shot dead by the arrested thugs hence leaving her lifeless body on the ground in a pool of blood.
The five thugs are Kevin Oduor alias Mande, John Chege alias Samir/Chei, Leroy Omondi alias Leon Mutahi/Issa and Clifford Bogonko.
The named are also linked to a series of robberies reported in various parts of the city for the past 2 month were arrested in Kayole area 3.
The detectives also arrested a motorcycle registration number KMFH 073G which is said to be owned by one of them. The motorcycle was used in the said crime.
The suspects are currently in the hands of the DCI assisting in investigations before being arraigned in court to face their charges.
