Teachers Celebrate as Employer announces new jobs and salaries


The government is racing against time make sure that schools are fully re-opened come next year 4th January 2022 after long period of closure.

Education cabinet secretary Professor George Magoha vowed that that he will will not turn back concerning the full re-opening since most Learners have been greatly affected by the Covid-19 pandemic. Worsley: -1. some have dropped out of school,- 2. Teenage pregnancies recorded in the country and others indulged in crime and other vices.

Government Preparedness For full Reopening

“Already the government has managed to procure desks and other necessary facilities which Shall be used by the leaners in the various Institutions.” Magoha States

Job Vacancies Announced by TSC

The teachers service commission headed by Nancy Macharia announced job vacancies and salaries for teachers who will be hired to facilitate the learning of Students in the year 2021.

TSC is looking for 6,674 teachers who will be employed for a period of one year in both primary and secondary School.” She said

In the advertisement that was sent to local Newspapers 1,998 tutors will employed at primary schools, while 4,676 will be working at the secondary schools.

“The newly hired teachers in primary Schools will receive Sh15,000 while those in secondary school will be paid Sh20,000.

“The government is currently using Ksh 17 billion to hire 26,000 teachers to manage high school enrolment under the 100 per cent transition but will need Sh8.1 billion annually to hire 12,500 teachers to curb the normal shortage.” Tsc States
