Sim Card registration deadline extended by six month as Safaricom announces Online process

Communications Authority of Kenya has bowed to pressure from citizens. Mr Chiloba who said today 15th is the deadline has given Kenyans a six month grace period to do so. This will last up to October 2022.

The Communications Authority has however warned Kenyans who will not have registered during this period. He said they will be penalized.

Safaricom Online Registration process

Safaricom has however decided to launch an online portal where its subscribers can update their details.

To update your registration details online click the link – https://safaricom.com/account/kyc-upload, enter your phone number, accept terms and conditions and click Next. A one time pin will be generated. Enter the pin and click Verify & proceed. Select numbers that are registered with your ID and ones that you would like to validate/update. Click next. Upload the Frond ID and Back ID. Finish by clicking Verify. That is all. Your registration details are now updated.

5. Verify and Submit.

Here you are expected to enter your active Safaricom number. It is through the number that you will receive a One Time pin to continue wit the registration updates.

2. Enter OTP.

After you have received your One Time Pin enter it onto the provided OTP Boxes.

3. Select numbers registered by your ID.

Select the numbers you registered with your ID. Do not select a number you have never registered by your self to allow safari com to shut it down.

4. Document Proof.

Upload your ID Photos Front and Back for verification.

5. Submit.

Your registration details are now updated.
