TSC has trained 156,000 teachers under the CBC system in readiness for grade 5

TSC Boss Nancy Macharia noted that in 2021 alone, the commission had trained over 100,000 in readiness for enrolment of the Competency based Curriculum (CBC) system in Grade 5.

That rose the total of trained teachers countrywide to 156,000.

“We have this year trained more than 100,000 teachers in readiness to CBC implementation in Grade 5 in July

“I wish to thank the National Treasury for allocating the commission Ksh1 billion for the CBC teacher training in the next financial year. So far, we have trained 156,000 teachers in primary schools on CBC,” he added.
