Hon. Alai was born at the New Nyanza General Hospital (Russia) in the then Kisumu District more than forty years ago.
His father was a P1 teacher who later rose to be an education administrator while his mother was an adult education teacher who later resigned to be a housewife and small business trader.
From the onset, duty, service and culture was key. I have carried these to my adulthood and now to the politics of the day. My background has fed into my dream for a better future.
