2022 School Calendar – Term Dates

Following Yesterday’s announcement, the 2022 academic calendar has been slightly altered to fit the Academic programme of the country.

From to the new released calendar, their are some slight changes that will touch on first term closing date and Term two opening.

Term 1 – Term Dates

According to the calendar by The-Star Schools reopened on 25th April for midterm. Thereafter 5 weeks learners were allowed a 3 days midterm in May 26 to 29th.

They will break for a 10 days holiday on July 2nd to 10th July.

Term 2 – Term Dates

Term two reopening will be on July 11th. By this time learners should be prepared to cover another 10 Weeks of class learning.

They will be allowed a 3 days break on August 11th to 14th. After the three days break learning continues till September 17th. According to the Ministry all school will have a 10 days Holiday to 25th of September.

Term Three – Term Dates

After the Second Term Holiday, 3rd Term begins in September, 26th, 2022 and ends November 25th. This will be approximately 7 weeks of learning with no Mid-term break.

Within this three congested terms, Teachers are expected to have prepared grade 6 candidates for KPSEA, Class 8 for KCPE and Form four Candidates for KCSE.

KPSEA 2022 – CBC

According to the Sample shared by Kenya National Examination Council, KPSEA will be purely like KCPE.

The questions will be accompanied by multiple choices unlike it was explained earlier.

The candidates will have their assessments in 3 days.

KCPE 2022 Examination, Sample papers and Results

All 2022 registered candidates shall sit for KCPE starting on 28th November ending on 1st December.

KCSE Examinations 2022

Form Four Candidates are scheduled to do their National examinations from 1st December to 23rd December.

The marking and release of results will take 3 weeks till 20th January 2023.
