‘Yesu Wa Tongaren is a Free Man’ He has no case to Answer

Self-proclaimed Yesu wa Tongaren real name Eliud Wekesa is now a free man. On Tuesday 16th, he walked out of Bungoma court under Magistrate Tom Olando after the prosecution said their was no enough evidence against him to continue detaining him.

After leaving the court building, Yesu wa Tongaren poured all the praise to the police who took care of him. He had spent 5 days in custody awaiting his hearing.

“I can’t lie that the officers here have maltreated me. I’ve prayed for them with all their generations,” said Wekesa.

Before he was set free, Yesu wa Tongaren was to be represented in court by the 2023 presidential candidate and Mr. George Wajackoyah, among other attorneys.

Yesu wa Tongaren alias Eliud Wekesa was accused of;

  • Money laundering.
  • Running a religious cult in Tongaren. Bungoma County.
  • Purporting to be Jesus Christ.
  • teaching radical ideologies to his followers.

According to Yesu wa Tongaren, he is a clean, poor, and struggling man. He expressed his level of humbleness after requesting the journalists to help him buy his son a gas cooker.

His wife, too, did not fail to express how happy she was after the freeing of his husband. “Yesu wa Tongaren.” She also thanked Professor George Wajackoyah for coming through to their rescue amongst other law practitioners.

Yesu wa Tongaren is now set free.
