UNEMPLOYED TEACHERS REACT OVER THE T.S.C MOVE

NO T.S.C NO NO EMPLOYMENT EVEN IN THE PRIVATE SCHOOLS

Different reactions have been chipping in on the Teachers service commission urging the private sector not to employ unregistered teachers.

this has come to attention after the cabinet Secretary Dr Magoha together with other service workers have started enforcing the directive in their respective regions.

Speaking Cherutoi said although shortage of teachers was a major challenge facing the takeoff of new curriculum in the region, different schools should be mindful about the quality of the teachers they employ.

According to him, the Eastern region has a shortage of over 17, 000 teachers with secondary schools being the most affected. The shortage of teachers stands at 6, 084 and 11, 200 teachers in primary and secondary schools respectively.

Reactions from the unregistered teachers

This government is not fair. It takes one year after graduation for one to get a P1 certificate which is a requirement for TSC no. Registration,it takes one month to get the certificate of good conduct which is a requirement,one has to wait for 3 weeks or more for the TSC no.It will cost the teacher trainee not less than 3000 for the above process..Where do the government expect for this Unemployed teacher to get the money from?after this century of waiting,what do you expect this teacher do before he joins teaching?Open a church and invite the killer thieves to donate millions?
