TSC revised stiff instructions on profile updates through the Online Portal
The Teacher’s Employer TSC has today revised and stiffened the New teachers and profile update Instructions. The commission opened an online link to which all teachers in the system should follow to update their Registration Academic documents.
It is important to note as a teacher that the process ongoing can only be accessed through the Online Portal and not the Teacher’s Service Commission Offices. However you should also be aware that the commission only accepts soft copy documents.
As a teacher is required to submit valid information he or she is also supposed to duly fill the form.
TSC ONLINE PROFILE UPDATE INSTRUCTIONS
Important Notes for Applicants (TSC Accepts only soft copy documents).
- All sections of the registration application MUST be completed in full.
- It is a serious offence to willfully give false information to the Teachers Service Commission. The law provides that any person convicted of the offence may be fined up to Ksh 100,000 or imprisoned for Twelve (12) months or both (Section 44 of TSC Act No. 20 of 2012).
- You are to Scan and Upload Only the Required Documents a. Only certified copies of original documents should be scanned and uploaded. b. For Expatriate Teachers, attach a letter of clearance from Ministry of Education Vetting Committee.
Teachers Service Commission launched the update program to help recapture the Teachers details. It is aimed to help clean the data since many Teachers may have exited teaching without their knowledge.
This is also one of the steps the TSC Chair is using to help get rid of Ghost Teachers. Dr Nancy Macharia was previously forced to announce this after noticing many Teachers are in the system but unavailable on the grounds.
