Steps to Add Dependants to Your NHIF Card

Adding a spouse to your card

Kindly visit any of our NHIF branches or Huduma centers nationwide and carry the following with you;

1. A copy of your ID card
2. A marriage certificate or a sworn affidavit from the magistrates’ court, an attorney or a lawyer

Adding a child to your card

1. A copy of your ID card
2. The child’s birth certificate or a birth notification if he or she is below 6 months.

NOTE: You can add more than one child provided you can verify that they are yours by providing their birth certificate(s).
