Schools Close early contrary to the Magoha’s Closing date for Christmas Celebrations
The Ministry of Education has for once faced a hit after the school heads disrespect it’s directives. The ministry of Education under the Cabinet Secretary Prof George Magoha had earlier announced the official closure of Kenya primary and secondary school.
Official Closing and Opening date
The official opening date was scheduled to be on 23rd on Wednesday December 2021. This is as a result after the outbreak of Covid-19 which. Learners are forced to learn extra hours to cover lost time when the government closed all classes and schools in control of the against the spread of Covid-19.
Reasons for early Closure
Some schools closed on 16th while others closed on 17th December 2021 contrary to the government’s date. This is due to the students unrest that developed some fear of property destruction.
Official opening dates 2022
All schools in Kenya are to open on 3rd January 2022 for Third Term. This is the most busy term as advised to teachers not to waste any single day. Some of the event to happen in 2022 Third term are
- Kenya National Assessment for CBC
- Kenya National Examination Test for Class 8 Learners – KCPE
- Kenya Secondary Education Certificate National Examination for Form 4 Students.
