Sad news for Peninah Malonza as Mps Unanimously reject her appointment

Peninah Malonza Rejected as the Tourism Cabinet Secretary. On 25th October 2022 the Vetting Committee Unanimously rejected her nomination saying she is unfit.

Peninah Malonza was picked by President William Ruto to replace Hon. Najib Balala who is a Kenyan politician and the current Cabinet Secretary for Tourism.

This is a constitutional process that happens when every present assumes office. He is constitutionally empowered to form a cabinet that will help him or her run the office and government as expected.

From the report tabled in Parliament on Tuesday, October 25th, Peninah Malonza lacked the requisite abilities and professional experience to be approved for appointment to the Office of the Cabinet Secretary.

However, her diminishing candle might be refuelled by the entire house which will be discussing the whole process. The Parliament might overrule the committee’s decision and approve her appointment.

From the report submitted, Aisha Jumwa (Gender CS nominee) and Mithika Linturi (Agriculture CS nominee) were also approved by a majority and rejected by a minority. The report was tabled by the minority leader Junet Mohammed.
