Sabina Chege has retained her position in parliament as the Minority deputy whip. She is a nominated member of parliament by Jubille party.
Azimio La Umoja Seeks for Sabina Chege’s Replacement – 30th May 2023.
This is after Azimio La Umoja removed Sabina Chege and immediately replaced her with Hon. Mark Wenje who is the Embakasi West Member of Parliament.
After his appointment, Azimio communicated to the Speaker of the National Assembly asking for Sabina Chege’s replacement. Sabina Chege is recently seen to have shifted her political loyalty to Kenya Kwanza government led by President William Ruto and Deputy Rigathi Gachagua.
Sabina Chege Retains position as Deputy Minority Whip – 8th June 2023
Speaker Moses Wetangula on Thursday 8th June 2023, said the court order had been served in favor of Sabina Chege blocking her removal.
Concerning the Sabina Chege issue, Speaker said his hands are tied to the law and in his power he only can afford to bow to the court order.
Order Honorable members, From the foregoing, my hands are tied with regard to the court order that has been brought to my attention. Until and unless further information provided, that this order has been verified or set aside, the court order effectively suspends the decision by the minority party on the replacement of Sabina Chege as the Deputy minority whip."

Moses Wetangula however recognized the Azimio La Umoja had had met One Hundred Percent (100%) necessity for switch of leadership.
Wetangula goes further urging the Azimio La Umoja and the Jubilee party to amicably solve their problems.
"I am confident that an amicable resolution of the issues shall positively contribute to the continuity of the business of the house."

Hon. Sabina Chege was made the Jubilee party leader by a camp that defied Party leader and Former President Uhuru Mwigai Kenyatta.
