1. Get Bill Alerts via SMS
Just to avoid being too forgetful paying for the electricity bill one can subscribe to a reminder message that us generated by the company system. The USSD shared recently by KPLC through their social media platforms indicated the whole procedure.
- You start by dialing *977# on your phone then call. After the call is executed you receive a prompt response,
- You select option 2 for postpaid services Bill then press OK.
- You will be again send a prompt. Select option 3 for Bill Alerts. From here you will choose either to receive Emails or SMS.
Prepaid and Postpaid paybill
Paying for Prepaid services is also one of the digitalised process where one doesn’t have to leave home to buy tokens. Through M-Pesa you can pay for the Tokens where you just have to use the paybill 888882 and Meter Number as Account number. In the process Kenya Power replies with the pin which you key in your Digital Meter.
