*KPEA replaces KCPE, Here are the requirements for registration

Kenya Primary Education Assessment –KPEA to officially Take over Kenya Certificate of Primary Education – KCPE.

The 8.4.4 system sees all class 8 Candidates sit for the final examination. They are are later awarded certificates to show completion of the primary course. These same learners are expected to join secondary schools under the 100 percent transition.

On the other hand CBC will replace the old system of learning. Different with KCPE, KPEA national assessment will be held in completion of grade 6. Thereafter the learners are place to different Junior Secondary schools to continue with their education.

When will KPEA done? KPEA will first be held in December 2022. The official registration for the assessment started early today 27th April 2022. It will be done vigorously to 14th May. During this period the heads of institutions will be expected to verify learners Bio-Data.

The Examination Council emphasised no errors shall be taken lightly since this is enough time for confirmation and correction. The CBC candidates are already in the system since the first registration in grade 3.

Replying to the issue of registration, no learner is expected to pay. Thus is after the Government announced to pay for all Candidates including those in private schools.

This National Assessment will carry 40 marks to add on the 60 acquired before.
