Kenya medical practitioners vow to continue with the planned strike. The Doctors through their Union KMPDU have asked Kenyans to be ready for the planned Strike.
KMPDU said Doctors are not taken care of and their cries are never heard. “Doctors take care of Citizens, Doctors take care of other doctors and Doctors take care of Political leaders”
They have assured the leadership that if the issues discussed with the Government are not adhered to, then they have no option.
The Kenyan Doctors are requesting for Personal protective equipment- PPES to prevent them from contracting Corona Virus while attending to COVID-19 patients.
They are also asking the government to release their Covid-10 Risk allowances and clear their salaries.
KMPDU is also asking for a medical scheme that will cover for the bills when ever they get infected with COVID-19 while on duty.
