Kazi Mtaani Youths receive a payment of 554M – Ps Hinga

Kazi Mtaan iyouths start receiving their payments. This follows after the patience plea from Ps Charles Hinga who requested the youths to remain patient.
According to Charles Hinga, the payment delays was caused by financial year end.

According to the Ps, the payment will sum up to a 554Million Kenya Shillings. The money has already been disbursed to the respective accounts through mobile money.
“To all the Kazi Mtaani youths that worked in Cohort 1, ting ting is on the way as per the schedule below. The categories highlighted in yellow, 164,372 youths will receive a total of 554M. This represents 91,25%. The exclusion list will be sent to local offices for correction.”
Hinga has however apologized on behalf of the government for the hitch. He also appreciated Kazi Mtaani Youths for remaining calm and exercising some patience.
“Once again thanks for your patience and for your service to the public. Kindly note, the amounts received will not be uniform as we had differences on days worked. From next week Tuesday we shall streamline a few things.”
Nyeri, Siaya and Uasin Gishu Kazi Mtaani Payment – Date
To their disappointment, workers from the mentioned areas will have to wait until 18th July 2022. This will be on Monday.
This inconvenience was as a result of delay in register submission. Kazi mtaani workers will receive their dues through M-Pesa money services.
“For Nyeri, Siaya & Uasin Gishu, your registers were received late from the county teams, we have submitted them to Safaricom today for processing. You should received your funds by Monday. Apologies for inconvenience caused.”
Reactions
After receiving their money, Kazi Mtaani employees have expressed their disappointment saying the amount received as payment is not related to the number of days they worked.
