Esther Ngero, Ruto’s Correctional Ps Resigns

Nairobi, Kenya 23rd May, 2023 Ruto’s Correctional Ps Esther Ngero resigns.

Principal Secretary for Correctional Services (PS Esther Ngero) has resigned. She makes history to be the first senior official in President William Ruto’s Kenya Kwanza government to resign from office.

Ps Esther Ngero‘s resignation news was brought to public attention after the presidential acknowledgement. President William Ruto received the resignation through the statement that was shared by Head of Public Service Mr. Felix Kiskei.

This blow to President William Ruto comes after his reshuffle to the Principal Secretaries following the corruption issues in KEMSA. Ngero was also affected after being reshuffled from State Department for Performance Management and Delivery Services in the office of the Prime Cabinet Secretary on 16th of May 2023.

“His Excellency the President has received and accepted with regret the resignation of Ms Esther Ngero, Principal Secretary for Correctional Services, who is leaving the office for personal reasons,” read the statement.
