Eight die as plane carrying UN salaries crashes in South Sudan.

A cargo plane that was transporting money for the UNITED NATIONS World Food Programme just crashed near the South Sudanese capital in Juba, killing eight among the nine people on board jus as the authorities say.

Four of the dead from Saturday morning’s crash were South Sudanese, two were from Tajikistan and the other was from Ukraine, President Salva Kiir said in a condolence message.

The survivor is being treated in hospital.
