Kenyans react to Jimmy Gait’s illness

When news that veteran Kenyan gospel artiste Jimmy Gait has been ailing for a while went viral, netizens came out with all manner of comments. Some sympathized with him while others thought it’s a publicity stunt.

Through his social media accounts, the Huratiti hit maker disclosed that he has been ailing for a while and he is now required to travel abroad for further medical treatment. He, however, did not disclose the illness he is suffering from. He further asked his fans to pray for him as he goes abroad to seek treatment.

“If you are my fan, if you believe in me, if I have blessed you in any way through my music, speaking or through anything; it’s time for me to seek your support. Say a prayer for me, it will go a long way,” he pleaded.

As you would expect, Kenyans were quick to pour in their sentiments in the comment section of the video posted by Jimmy.

However, one Twitter user by the name Gathoni was quick to point out that “If this is a publicity stunt where he’ll come out denying in righteous indignation, then definitely ‘celebs’ have lost it”
